====================================

LIMITED OVERS WIN / LOSE FORMAT

1st XI Division 4a = 50 overs

2nd XI Division 7a = 45overs

Tip 12. Legside Wides – A leg side Wide Ball shall be called if, irrespective of where the ball pitches, it passes outside the line of the batsman and the leg stump, despite movement by the batsman. (Note: a ball that passes between the batsman and the leg stump shall not be considered a Wide Ball.

Tip 11. Offside Wides – Umpires are instructed to apply a very strict and consistent interpretation in regard to this Law
in order to prevent negative bowling wide of the wicket. Any delivery passing wide of the inner
crease (this will be marked 17″ inside of the return crease both sides of the wicket) on the off side should be called wide, unless the striker has very clearly brought the delivery within reach with a significant sideways movement across his crease.

Tip 10. No balls – Field changes are NOT permitted for the Free Hit delivery, except to cater for a change of striker, or if the No Ball was a result of a fielding restriction breach, in which case the field may change to correct the breach.

Tip 9. No balls – The delivery following any kind of No Ball shall be signalled as a “Free Hit” for whichever
batsman is facing it. If the delivery for the Free Hit is not a legitimate delivery (any kind of No Ball or a Wide Ball) then the next delivery will also become a Free Hit for whichever batsman is
facing it.

Tip 8. Division 4a. Fielding At all Times:
Powerplay 1: (Overs 1-10): NOT be more than two fielders outside the 30 Yard Ring.

Powerplay 3: (Overs 41-50) NOT be more than five fielders outside the 30 Yard Ring.

Note# These Powerplay rules will change if there is a reduction in overs.

Tip 7. Division 7a. Fielding At all times during the innings: At the instant of delivery, there must be a minimum of four fielders (plus the bowler and wicket keeper) inside the marked 30m ring.

Tip 6. Division 4a – Bowling At the start of the 50 Over Match no bowler may bowl more than 10 overs (one fifth of the total overs).

Tip 5. Division 7a – Bowling At the start of the 45 Over Match no bowler may bowl more than 9 overs (one fifth of the total overs)
